The local organizing committee of the IAL 7 extends a warm welcome to all lichenologists, biologists and every individual who are interested in lichen to participate IAL 7. The symposium will be convened, for the first time in Asia, in Bangkok during 9-13 January 2012 at the Chao phya Park Hotel.

The local organizing committee and host institutes recognize the importance of lichen in this dynamic changing world. The most up-to dated research findings world wide will be presented and discussed at IAL 7. Future progress in lichen will be built upon the recent findings.

It is such an honored to host IAL 7, and we are fully committed to ensure that the conference is productive and every participant is comfortable in Thailand, the land of smile.
